I regularly work with Accademia Amsterdam. This collaboration is time after time surprising and enjoyable. The orchestra members play with passion, are professional and extremely committed in music and performance. They think along, are flexible and always willing to go to the extreme. Added value for choir and audience!

[…] [Accademia Amsterdam] played with a high degree of perfection in this unique Christmas concert.

It was a great evening last night. All the people from my circle of friends [...] enjoyed it! [...] The personal way in which the choir was addressed, gave us the feeling that the orchestra was approachable and that we would make something beautiful out of it together [...] This approach was very special and a positive surprise.

The instrumental soloists from Accademia Amsterdam created wonderful moments [during the performance of the St. Mattheuw Passion]. The arioso 'O Schmerz' for tenor and choir, the extremely fragile aria 'Aus Liebe', as well as the 'Erbarme dich', were equally beautifully performed. [...] Many more musical refinements could be heard during this a high-level performance [...]

The performance [...] was very convincing. The authentic, fragile sound of Accademia Amsterdam, blended very well with the transparent, smooth and feather-light choir sections. Music made of porcelain, [...] executed in a perfect balance: the vocal parts, the orchestra and the combination of both.

Collaborating with [...] Accademia Amsterdam is not just something, [...] especially when it comes to [...] an extensive work such as Bach's St. Matthew Passion. Driven to make music together and to give a professional translation to my musical and artistic ideas, the musicians give a [...] wonderful and surprising performance and above all, they do this with challenge, integrity and great pleasure.

[...] The concert with Accademia was for me the highlight and in that sense "excellent". I think it also demanded the most from the musicians because of the heat in the Zeeuwse Concertzaal, Middelburg. And then to continue playing so beautifully (Onno Verschoor on baroque oboe) and singing (Johannette Zomer).
