Artistic director of Accademia Amsterdam Onno Verschoor, “camped” for three days last autumn in a cold church: the Grote Kerk in Dordrecht. Together with city organist Cor Ardesch he recorded a special CD, in which the organ is assigned a role as a chamber music instrument. In music by Bach, Telemann and Bach's colleague Krebs, the richness of sound of the organ is fully explored. In an intimate way it mixes and competes with the oboe, the oboe d'amore and the flute.
If you would like to support Accademia Amsterdam, you can do so by purchasing the CD directly through our website.
